Rebuilding Your Wardrobe after Major Weight Loss

0

Congratulations! You’ve done it! You have successfully taken on the challenge of losing unwanted pounds and succeeded with dramatic results! This should be a rewarding experience in your life and that’s why we’re writing this article: to take the stress out of the changes that come with major weight loss.

Tips for Rebuilding Your Wardrobe:

  1. Don’t Hit the Panic Button!

The joy of losing weight also comes with the stress of having to buy new clothes for your new figure, but that doesn’t mean you should rush out to every department store in town. You should start by reflecting on who you are and how you want to present yourself to the world. Start by asking yourself how you desire to be seen. Lay out your life when it comes to work, kids, sports, travel and leisure, date night, or a night out with friends.

Be specific as you want. After making a list of how you want to be seen in your wardrobe, start piecing together some ideas of clothes by browsing ideas online or through a store’s shopping catalog. If you like the style of what you had worn before your weight loss, simply look for smaller sizes.

  1. Build the Basics, Add Accessories

Focus first on the main parts of the wardrobe you would like to create and add accessories as you proceed. Things such as shoes and jewelry can be added in later, and should not be the focus of your new look. We are talking about developing a whole new basic look, and to do that you have to start with a foundation. Only after this is completed should you start looking for accessories that add an accent to the new you.

Once you take care of the basics, then and only then should you focus on your accessories for your leaner look. There’s no exact formula for everyone to follow, building a new wardrobe is dependent on your life experiences and personality and should reflect the person you are and want to be.

  1. Budgeting Your New Look

Without question, building an entire new wardrobe will take time, effort, and most importantly: money. You should never go out and start buying without knowing how much money you have, and how much you can afford when it comes to the brand of clothing you are looking to purchase. You don’t want to run to the clothing store and drop $500 on a purse when you need that money for rent or groceries for the month. Set a budget and look at your expenses.

If you don’t have the money right now, but need to purchase a new wardrobe ASAP, consider using a personal loan if you know that you can pay it off on time and will have the money to do so in the near future. There are many companies out there that can provide you with these services such as, themoneyhub.co.uk

Don’t let the need for a new wardrobe stress you out!
